Italy Day 13 – We had a later start to the day with overcast skies and rain. We had a tour the Orvieto underground, with Wea local guide who led us through the Etruscan caves and tunnels that were used to raise pigeons, store wine, and make olive oil. Fascinating! We then explored more of Orvieto, and took a guided tour of the Orviieto Duomo with another local guide. When the sun came out we decided it was time to walk around the town’s ramparts and then retreated to our private balcony with a bottle of wine to enjoy the view.
