Italy Day 14- Under sunny skies we left Orvieto for Assisi, and had a private tour with a local guide. We enjoyed the Church of St. Claire, walking through the streets of Assisi, the Basilica of St. Francis with the amazing frescoes, and then we left our group and took the local bus down into the town below Assisi to see the Papal Basilica of Saint Mary of the Angels. Unfortunatley, no photos are allowed of these buildings but see the link below if interested. Our tour picked us up and we went to Deruta to see how the traditional ceremics are made in this area.
