Italy Day Four – Tuscany, Montepluciano, Cascate del Mulino in Saturina – on to Naples

Italy Day Four: We started the day with fog in valleys of Tuscany, then an early visit to the Montesiepi Chapel on the grounds of the Abbey San Galgano in Chiusdino to see Saint Galgano’s sword in the stone. We then enjoyed a ride through Tuscany, passing stunning medieval towns and stopping in Montepluciano. There we toured this amazing town from bottom to top, and back down again. We enjoyed the famous Contucci cellars tour and did some tasting of Vino Nobile di Montepulciano. Then it was off to explore more of Tuscany, passing rolling lime-green hills of wheat, vineyards, olive groves and sheep. We arrived at Cascate del Mulino in Saturina to join the locals in their natural thermal falls. Reluctantly we set off again for a long drive to Naples, marveling at the fearless Italian drivers.
