Day Four Tuesday, July 19 – Busy times here in Calgary. We visited the Olympic Park, and had a fantastic lunch at 360 at the top of the Calgary Tower. Last night we went exploring. We are so far west in the time zone and so far north in latitude, that the sun doesn’t set until 9:45 PM. So, with plenty of daylight, we checked out the +15 which is a Skyway network. It is one of the world’s most extensive pedestrian skywalk systems, with a total length of 18 kilometres (11 miles) and 62 bridges. The system is so named because the skywalks are approximately 15 feet (approximately 4.5 metres) above street level.
