There are not a lot of photos this day because it was a motor coach day. We traveled overland from Rotorua to Auckland. Along the way we stopped at Arapuni village to walk across a suspension bridge and looked at the Waipapa hydroelectric dam. It was pouring rain!

We then went to Sanctuary Mountain – Maungatautari, which is 8,400 acres enclosed by a fence line 31 miles long to keep predators out and protect the animals within in the Sanctuary.  It is considered the largest pest-proof fenced project in the world and covers the entire mountain of Maungatautari.
