Today was a fly away day.  We opted for a late checkout but took a few minutes to do some last-minute shopping.

We were driven to the Auckland Airport where we boarded our flight at 4:00 PM Auckland time.  The flight was over 15 hours and 9,106 miles. We arrived at JFK, in New York at around 3:00 PM the same day.  We gained back the day we lost a month ago on the way home. We breezed through customs, quickly picked up our luggage and rental car and were on our way home in no time.
