Italy Day 23- Another beautiful day in Italy! We returned to the old city of Verona and arrived during their Independence Day celebration in Piazza Bra. We then explored the Duomo, Ponte Pietra and other sights before leaving for Lake Garda. We made it to beautiful Sirmione, Lake Garda but were unable to park because of all the people enjoying Independence Day with 80 degree temps and sunny skies. So, off we went to Lake Como. By the time we arrived, our reservation was upgraded to a 3-bed apartment overlooking the Lake— amazing! We had a great dinner lakeside and marveled at the stunning mountains surrounding us.
