Day Eighteen, December 4, 2024 – Sydney, Australia
We took a short train ride and then a bus down to Tamarama Beach and walked a section of the stunning Coastal Walk around to Bondi Beach.
The walk went around the coast and there are many interesting rock formations. The beach was very nice, but it was windy and cool. One of our group, Lois, who is the oldest, even took a swim. Mary went in up to her knees.
Then we took another bus to Watson’s Bay, and walked another coastal path to see the Gap, which is an ocean cliff at South Head in the Eastern suburbs of Sydney. Then we took a ferry ride back to the main Sydney wharf (Circular Quay) after which we got, what is supposed to be, the best ice cream in Sydney. We agree! It was delicious. We even found some puppies that resembled our grand pups, Olive and Stewart. Since this was our last day in Sydney and Australia, we had a farewell dinner cruise around Sydney Harbor with our Australian Trip Leader.
